The Inspiration Of Quentin Townsend
A small town boy of Joliet Illinois, Quentin Townsend isn’t exactly small, with the height of six foot and eight inches tall, he has become an important player in his high school and college teams. Having good people guiding him, while growing up well involved in community outreach programs and having basketball teaching him discipline, dedication while being competitive helped Quentin reached his goal of becoming a successful businessman and an important figure in the field of basketball. He graduated #1 in his class at the Joseph Business School and received the highest distinction of Joseph Scholar.
Leaving his life as a successful realtor in Romeoville Illinois, to pursue his heart desires has been the best decision he has ever made, he left for Atlanta with his wife envisioning their future as owners of Atlanta Basketball Association (ABA) which in turn happen in the middle season of the league in December 2004 by purchasing its franchise.
Three months through Quentin Townsend’s ownership, he renamed the group, Atlanta Vision and reconstructed various structure of the entire organization, which in such a short period of time distinguished him and his team the most dynamic division amongst the league which won them the name “Atlanta’s Best Value for Sports Entertainment” by the Gwinnett Citizen. One success has led to another as Townsend and his wife broadened their reach by committing to create positive changes in the society. The couple has dedicated themselves into providing ways to develop guide and refine the professional and personal lives of each member of the group, letting them grow into their best potentials. Quentin also founded Townsend & Company Sales Team. During his first year `in real estate, Townsend won the Will County Rookie of the Year Award
Moreover with his outstanding achievements Quentin Townsend was offered the position of President/COO of ABA, which after his acceptance was made effective April 30 2008. His presence in the organization has created ripples of positive reactions from people, believing that it will bring changes that will carry the ABA to the next level. The area of responsibility that will land in Mr. Townsends lap with this new position will include large areas of management which more or less include overseeing the new standard s and requirements of the ABA and making sure that everything are followed through correctly. Quentin even talks of working on setting up the new management committee in five different regions such as Northeast, Southeast, North and South Central as well as the West while working on national media and sponsorship.
